Here are some key responsibilities:
- Ensure Safety and Well-being

- Pick-up from School
- Collect children from school on time, either by walking, driving, or coordinating with parents.
- Ensure the children are signed out or accounted for as per school policies.
- Assist with Homework
- Help children with their homework or school assignments.
- Encourage a quiet, productive environment where children can focus.
- Organize Snacks or Meals
- Provide healthy snacks after school.
- In some cases, you may need to prepare a simple meal for children.
- Engage in Fun and Educational Activities
- Plan and organize activities such as arts and crafts, games, or outdoor play.
- Balance between physical activities (e.g., playing outside) and quieter activities (e.g., reading, puzzles).
- Communicate with Parents
- Update parents on their child’s activities, behavior, and any concerns or accomplishments.
- Coordinate schedules and discuss any specific instructions or requests from the family.
- Create a Safe, Nurturing Environment
- Foster a positive and supportive environment where children feel comfortable.
- Encourage positive behavior, respect, and cooperation among the children.
- Maintain a Routine
- Stick to a consistent schedule, including snack times, playtime, and homework time.
